So i tried to make a Cheesecake ...

I am a huge fan of desserts! I am trying to learn how to make different types of desserts on my own without having to always go out and buy something to satisfy my cravings. Awhile back my grandmother made a cheescake pie that was so delicious. The dessert is called a no-bake strawberry cheesecake.I watched make this cake from scratch and decided one night that i wanted to try and create it myself. The recipe goes as follows:

1/2 cup of Sugar
8 oz. cream cheese
8 oz. Cool Whip
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 Graham cracker pie crust

Blend cream cheese, Cool Whip and vanilla together until fluffy. Spoon the mixture into the crust. Chill for at leasr two hours. Top with strawberry topping.

Old Bowie Town Grille- Restaurant of the Month

Congratulations to the Old Bowie Town Grill for becoming my Restaurant of the Month! This restaurant is conveniently located five minutes away from Bowie State University and we absolutely love this restaurant. If you are looking for a very laid back place to eat reasonably priced comfort food, this is the place for you.

Old Bowie Town Grille offers live entertainment on the weekends, which gives it a very relaxing vibe. The staff is very attentive and this restaurant also has one of the best burgers I have ever tasted.

Again, congratulations to Old Bowie Town Grille for becoming my Restaurant of the Month!

New Obsession! The Greene Turtle

A restaurant that i recently visited is called the Greene Turtle located in Crofton, MD approximately 15 minutes away from Bowie State University. The Greene Turtle is a sports bar/ restaurant that serves very delicious comfort food. I ordered the Chicken wrapped in bacon and topped with cheddar cheese and bbq sauce. This meal was also served with mashed potatoes and string beans.

The meal was absolutely delicious! The chicken was very tender and the mashed potatoes and string beans were cooked to perfection. Every time i visit The Greene Turtle i order this meal.

I highly recommend visiting the Greene Turtle. Not only is there a location in Crofton, but there is also a location in Baltimore and Washington D.C. This restaurant is also inexpensive and a place for all to enjoy, especially sports fans!

Candy Cake !!

Hi guys!

So, i wanted to share with everyone a creation of mine. One day when i was on Instagram I saw a picture of a very creatively designed cake. Since i love to bake, i decided to re-create it and give it to my boyfriend and his friends.

The cake is a basic yellow cake with vanilla icing. On the top and surrounding the cake, is covered with Kit Kat's and M&M's.

Ultimately, i think the cake came out awesome! It was pretty on the outside, but i do feel like the cake was overly sweet.

I do not think i will make this cake again. Though it was fun to make and cute to look at, it was too sweet to eat.

My Valentines Day Restaurant Experience

So, i know i'm a little late with my post everyone but I apologize ! Let me start off by saying i hope everyone had a great Valentines Day. I must say i had the best time that I've had in a long time. The restaurant that was chosen for Valentines Day was Fogo De Chao located in Baltimore in the beautiful Inner Harbor.
Fogo De Chao is a Brazilian steakhouse with a little twist. It is somewhat like a buffet in the idea that you get an unlimited amount of food, but you are served the food instead of getting on a line to get it yourself. The only food you retrieve yourself is at the salad bar. The main attraction for Fogo De Chao are the meats that they serve. They have 16 different types of meat, that the waiters come around and ask if you would like some. They do not stop serving you food until you flip over the Fogo De Chao card fro the green side(go) to the red side (stop).

Rating:

Food - 5/5- Everything is delicious. My favorite meat was the bacon wrapped filet mignon and chicken, as well as the chocolate mousse cake for dessert.
Decor- 4/5- the decor is very soothing, i describe it as being fancy. (LOL)
Staff- 5/5- very attentive staff.
Price- 4/5 - for two people at lunch our bill was $91. a little pricey but well worth it.
Location- 5/5- nice location. we walked around the harbor afterwards
Recommend- 5/5 - i would recommend this restaurant. A perfect place for a date! You will also leave stuffed!

Hope you enjoy!
